After Rosalía’s commented visit on Monday, El Hormiguero continued the week with another of the great friends of the program as a guest on Tuesday. Javier Cámara came to talk about the second season of the Rapa series, one of Movistar’s successes, although there was also time to uncover the truth about what the program’s guests charge.
This is one of the classic faces of the space, so much so that he has passed the set 18 times and is very close to jumping from Platinum to Infinity, an exclusive club that only celebrities who have been interviewed 20 times go to. The actor was shown throughout the night with great desire to talk about many topics at the same time.
The night was full of jokes and jokes between two great friends, something that was noticeable on the air, although the Valencian had a hard time being able to focus on the topics he had prepared. “It is difficult to interview you because of how you change the subject,” the presenter lamented in the first moments.
Far from focusing on talking about the series that he was going to promote, Javier Cámara wanted to take out in public one of the conversations they had had before going on set: “You have told me: you have come many times, Javier. We hope you will give us a little bit of play. You know how I am.” In this climate of confidence, Motos reproached him for his last visit being “lazy”, to which the actor reminded him of something important: “For what you pay…”.
The ants, far from helping their boss, sided with the guest. “There he is right. I do charge, he doesn’t,” said Trancas. Barrancas also joined the party and revealed more secrets of what happens in the Antena 3 program: “If you charge, we don’t charge.” Pablo stepped forward explaining that it was an “exchange”.
Although it is not something that is talked about on a regular basis, El Hormiguero works in a completely different way from that of other formats such as Viernes Deluxe or Sálvame, which is common for them to pay their interviewees. As I pointed out, the usual formula is that of exchange, since celebrities take advantage of the showcase in prime time to talk about their professional projects.
The doubts of the spectators return when characters like Isabel Pantoja, Kiko Rivera or recently Enrique Ponce with Ana Soria attend. In these cases, as in the actors and singers who come to promote their work, it is an interview in which they do not charge anything at all.
