The Telecinco program presented by Ana Rosa Quintana, TardeAR, began the week by addressing one of the most striking cases of the last few hours: an influencer squats an apartment in Ibiza and rents out her rooms online for 1,100 euros per month.

The protagonists of this story are Bea and Saúl, a couple from Ibiza who decided to buy their first apartment on the island. To make extra money, they rented the house during the winter months. However, what the couple did not expect was that their tenant was going to stop paying the rent and re-rent the rooms in the property online for a value of 1,100 euros per month.

”In January, a burofax was already sent to you claiming debts and non-compliance and non-renewal. He hasn’t paid us since December,’ Bea declared. ”He rents the rooms and tries to make money fraudulently,” commented Saúl. However, the alleged squatter claims through her social networks that she is the one who was scammed.

On Monday afternoon, the Telecinco space spoke live with the owners of the property, Saúl and Bea. ”He paid us the deposit for the first month and the next month and since then we have not heard anything,” declared Saúl. Furthermore, the couple had just found out that the first deposit was paid with the money of the other tenants. ”She paid us a portion at the beginning and said that she couldn’t give us the rest and it was because those who were subleasing had to give it to her,” Bea revealed.

”Before entering our home to live, he already had the rooms rented, he had used the video that we had sent him and the images and he was waiting to receive that money so he could pay us,” the owner stated.

For her part, the alleged squatter had blocked the phone of the owners and the last thing they knew about her was a message she sent them after the situation came to light. ”It said ‘what I’m going to do is fill that apartment with people, make a flat and I’ll leave,”’ the owner said. ”We sued in December and we were waiting for the trial to be held in April, but since there is a lack of personnel in the court, they have postponed it. They did not give us an approximate date, but it is likely that it will be held in October or November,” they reported.
