Few series have marked a generation of people as much as Aquí no hay quien viva. The most famous community of neighbors on television came to the small screen on September 7, 2003, marking a before and after in the history of fiction in our country.

After 90 episodes, the series said goodbye to millions of homes as one of the most successful Spanish fictions in history, since it had managed to achieve more than 40% share of the screen in many of its episodes. In addition, the production created by Alberto and Laura Caballero has the title of the most watched series of the 2000s in Spain.

Iconic characters, mythical phrases and scandalous plots that marked in an incomparable way the popular culture of a country that had never witnessed this type of light-hearted comedy, close and with a stage as close to the spectators as a community of neighbors.

Starting in 2007, the Caballero brothers launched La que se avecina on Telecinco, another series that has been very successful and that repeated the winning formula of Aquí no hay quien viva: a very peculiar community of neighbors. In addition, in this production they had the presence of some of the former actors, such as Beatriz Carvajal, Eva Isanta, José Luis Gil or Gemma Cuervo, among others.

Since its end, both Alberto and Laura Caballero have not stopped receiving requests to bring the series back to the television grid, something that for them would not make much sense, since they consider the project finished and are focused on La que se avecina. .

Another of the suggestions that do not stop coming up around the creators is the possibility of having a Friends-style reunion where the actors can talk and remember what it was like to film that series at such a frenetic pace, as well as talk about the experience that they had. changed the lives of many of them forever.

On September 7, the legendary Antena 3 series will celebrate its 20th anniversary. Due to this important date, the Noticias de Gipuzkoa media outlet did an interview with the Caballero brothers and asked them about the possible reunion of the cast to celebrate the two decades of Aquí no hay quien viva and to know if there will be some kind of tribute.

Alberto Caballero responded openly, showing that he is not enthusiastic about the idea: “The issue of revivals is delicate because you end up seeing people who are a bit screwed up, like in Friends, and you feel sorry for it.” make reference to the American production to justify more response: “For me, they are the characters from between 1994 and 2004, but, logically, people continue to have their lives and are fulfilling their years.”
