The new Councilor for Innovation, Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Nuria Montes, has announced that the new Travel Voucher codes will be launched on September 1 for discounted reservations for stays in the Valencian Community for the last quarter of the year.
Montes has chaired this Tuesday, in Valencia, the first meeting with a broad representation of the main tourist and hotel associations of the Valencian Community, a meeting, which he has described as “positive and very enriching to analyze the current situation and propose future prospects ” and that has served as the first contact and coordination meeting.
Thus, they explain in a statement, during it some of the issues that concern the sector at the moment, such as the lack of labor or the need to maintain the positioning of the Valencian Community destination, have been addressed.
Among the issues discussed, Montes has ratified the maintenance of the Travel Voucher program, an initiative that, as the head of the Consell’s tourism policy has already advanced during these days, will continue, although “it will be reformulated to maximize its effect and reach more people.”
Regarding this, Montes has reported that during this first contact, “the will to extend this program during 2024 has been transferred after verifying the good reception by the sector and the Valencians.” Likewise, the head of Tourism has indicated that “the possibility of making some adjustments in terms of the intensity of the aid and the days to enjoy will be discussed with the sector.”
The Minister has argued that “the objective now is to help deseasonalize”, and has announced that “on September 1 the new codes will be launched, whose users will be able to start making their reservations to enjoy it from September 18 and until the end of year”.
In addition, he stressed that “there are around 4 million investment left for this last quarter of the year.” For this reason, Montes has asked the sector to “begin to organize itself to present its packages and proposals for experiences and that the product be prepared to take on these requests, which will arrive starting next month.”
