Legendary Real Madrid goalkeeper and former captain of the Spanish national team, Iker Casillas, has a new car in his garage. It is a Ford Mustang Mach-e, an electric SUV that is marketed in Spain for a price ranging between 51,000 and 81,000 euros, depending on the version chosen.
The variant of the former goalkeeper corresponds to the Mustang Mach-e GT. Developed by Ford Performance, it is the most powerful in the range. It is equipped with two electric motors – one on each axle – that provide a total power of 487 HP, 860 Nm of torque and propel it up to 200 km/h with an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds.
The Mustang Mach-e GT, presented as Ford’s most powerful electric SUV, not only offers exceptional performance, but also considerable range, as it can travel 490 kilometers on a single charge.
Although Casillas hasn’t been known for showing off ostentatious automobiles, this new Mustang Mach-e GT represents a bold step in his collection. Let us remember that in his years as a soccer player, Casillas used to travel in more modest vehicles, such as a Renault 19 Chamade and a Chrysler PT Cruiser.
However, after his retirement from the football fields, he has shown greater diversity in his automotive choices, including classic models such as a Seat 124.
