Apple’s upcoming iPhone will reportedly feature a curved screen — and will cost about $1,000.
The new model slated for release this fall, rumored to be called either the iPhone 8 or the iPhone X, will include a curved OLED display similar to the one used in some Samsung smartphones including the Galaxy S6, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The fancy new iPhone model, which will mark the 10th anniversary of the blockbuster device, will also have a retail price of around $1,000, the report said. Prices for the current iPhone 7 start at $649.
Apple also will remove the iPhone’s home button and replace its lightning connector with the USB-C standard that’s used by many Android phones, according to the report.
Apple declined to comment on the report.
Other recent, unconfirmed reports have included speculation that the upcoming iPhone will include wireless charging.
Sales of iPhones in the first quarter jumped from a year ago after enduring three straight quarters of declining shipments.
