The electric car market continues to grow, and as a result, it is becoming more and more competitive. A new player is now joining this sector. This is the Faraday Future firm, which has just announced the start of production of its first premium electric car, whose final name is FF 91 Futurist.

More than six years have passed since the American car manufacturer introduced this model to society. During all this time, the firm has faced various challenges, such as the increase in the costs of raw materials or the low number of initial reserves. All of this was causing significant delays, to the point that it was even doubted that it would ever start production.

Following earlier postponements, the assembly line was due to come online by the end of 2022, but the company had some trouble raising the capital to start production. Last December, after some changes in the internal structure of the company, the date of the end of March was announced as the final one for the starting gun of the new and powerful electric car.

This time yes. And it is that, this same week, the manufacture of the FF 91 Futurist has begun. As stated by the firm, it is a vehicle that aims to redefine transport, mobility and connectivity. But, above all, the first thing that catches the attention of the car is the impressive power that it holds.

A total of three electric motors generate an astonishing 1,065 hp, allowing the car to accelerate from 0 to 97 km/h in just 2.39 seconds (that is, to go from 0 to 60 miles per hour, unit in which these records are made in the United States). The brand itself claims that its lithium-ion battery cells achieve the highest energy density in the world. In this sense, it should be noted that it provides a range of 613 km with each recharge.

On the other hand, it should be noted that the user experience is the central core of the vehicle. And it is that the car is capable of recognizing the driving and use preferences of each person who gets behind the wheel to adapt their behavior and satisfy the needs of each user. Or what is the same, the more the vehicle is driven, the more it knows the driver.

The futuristic approach is reflected in the aesthetics of the car. The firm has opted for a modern appearance but without being overloaded with aesthetically extravagant elements. The bodywork is characterized by smooth lines and aerodynamic shapes.

Initially, sales begin in the United States and China at prices that, although they are not official, are estimated to be between 137,000 and 183,000 euros. The first units will be delivered at the end of this same month of April.
