The fashion firm Lola Casademunt has skyrocketed its sales by 90% in the last year, going from 15 million euros billed in 2021 to 28.5 million in 2022, above targets. “We considered 2022 as a year of consolidation, but opportunities have come up and we have taken advantage of them,” says Paco Sánchez, CEO of the company chaired by Maite Casademunt, in turn creative director.

Among them, the opening of new stores in strategic locations in cities such as Zaragoza, San Sebastián, Valencia, Palma de Mallorca or, more recently, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, stands out. In total, Lola Casademunt already has 18 of its own establishments, another four franchisees, 30 corners in El Corte Inglés and 1,350 multi-brand points of sale altogether –800 in Spain and Portugal and the rest abroad.

The professionalization undertaken in 2020 -when Paco Sánchez joined the firm after a long career at Pronovias-, together with the international expansion that began, has boosted the business of the Catalan firm. 15% of the turnover comes from the international market, with a presence in countries such as France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Sweden, Mexico or Puerto Rico.

The company is also finalizing its landing in Saudi Arabia by the hand of a local partner, with openings in Riyadh and Jeddah this year and entry into the most exclusive shopping center in the country in January 2024. “We have a store in Roca Village, where a lot of Arab tourism, and we have detected that our product attracts a lot to this market”, says Sánchez.

For this 2023 the firm plans to reach 43 million euros in sales, with the opening of new stores and the reinforcement of its different channels, with an important weight of online. An ambitious expansion that they are carrying out “by the lungs”, emphasizes Sánchez. “We are a healthy company and we want to grow as far as our pocket allows us,” he says.

A “very loyal” client, the “DNA that Maite Casademunt has impregnated the firm” and meticulous work by the team that makes up the company will allow them, according to Paco Sánchez, to achieve these objectives.
