Colmenar Viejo will celebrate its XLVIII Turkey Race this December 24, the only Christmas cycling event that takes place on this date in the region, in the morning, and in which about 150 people from the entire region participate each year.
It is a competition organized by the Colmenar Viejo Cycling Club and the Madrid Cycling Federation, together with the Department of Sports, and is considered the oldest cycling event in the autonomous community, according to what the Consistory highlights in a note.

The race will be divided into two categories, with a first ‘leg A’, starting at 10:15 am and 10 laps of the circuit, for masters, cycle tourism and women; and a ‘leg B’, starting at 11:30 a.m. and another 10 laps of the circuit, for professionals, elite and under-23 cyclists.
In addition, for the first time the ‘Minipavo’ race will be held, which will be located in La Alameda park and whose participants belong to the Colmenar Viejo cycling school.
