RailTel Corporation secures Rs 81-cr order from National Informatics Centre

RailTel Corporation of India, a state-run entity, has recently been awarded a significant work order worth up to Rs 81.6 crore from the National Informatics Centre Services Incorporated (NICSI) for ICT infrastructure. The scope of the order includes supply, installation, configuration, commissioning, and integration of the infrastructure, along with operation and maintenance responsibilities, as stated in a regulatory filing on June 8. This project is expected to be completed by August 31, 2024, according to the company’s notification to the stock exchanges.

Earlier in March, RailTel secured a work order from the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai valued at Rs 351.95 crore for the supply, installation, testing, commissioning, operations, and maintenance of HMIS for the Health Department of the BMC. Additionally, the company received a work order from the State Project Director of the Bihar Education Project Council worth Rs 130 crore. Prior to these, RailTel also clinched two orders in Odisha on March 14th and March 4th, respectively, totaling Rs 114 crore and Rs 87 crore.

RailTel’s shares have experienced a decline of approximately 23 percent from its recent peak of Rs 491, with a 10 percent slip in the last three months. The stock closed 0.15 percent higher at Rs 378 on Friday.
