Primark will open a new store in Madrid on May 23, at number 8 Calle del Conde de Peñalver, in the Salamanca neighborhood, after an investment of more than 15 million euros. The establishment will mean the creation of more than 200 jobs.
The new establishment will be Primark’s 63rd store in Spain and number 11 in the Community of Madrid, as reported by the company this Wednesday.
The new store is Primark’s second flagship in the capital and the fifth in the country (Madrid Gran VÃa, Plaza de Cataluña, Bilbao Gran VÃa and Valencia Ruzafa).
The building at Calle del Conde de Peñalver 8 is recognized as an Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC). The store will consist of an area of ??more than 3,600 square meters of commercial space distributed over five floors.
Primark also highlighted that it is committed to offering more sustainable clothing at affordable prices for everyone. 55% of Primark’s clothing is already made from recycled or more sustainably sourced materials, and the company has committed to reaching 100% by 2030.
