On January 21, the 45th edition of the Cursa Moritz Sant Antoni will take place, a traditional sports morning in the Barcelona neighborhood. This event, which will feature the participation of more than 4,000 runners of all ages, will mark the beginning of the athletic calendar in Barcelona.
On this occasion, the race will host the Catalan 10-kilometer road championship, attracting outstanding elite athletes. The presence of names such as Dmitrijs Serjogins, Mourad Mounim, Alejandro Santana, Cristina Silva, Laura Rodríguez, Rebeca Suárez and Míriam Ortiz is expected, who will compete in a test that promises to be vibrant and that could set new records.
Under the slogan ‘More sport, less myopia’, the organization of the race seeks to raise awareness of the importance of visual health. This initiative arises from the increasing prevalence of myopia, which the World Health Organization declared a global pandemic in 2020.
Planetabici.com, which has contributed to the organization of the race for two years, joins the cause. In addition, they will be in charge of following the three leading runners with bicycles so that the camera operators can find them and offer quality coverage during the race.
The race, in addition to being a relevant sporting event, has a solidarity character, since it has the active participation of Superacció, a social entity dedicated to providing tools to young people at risk of social exclusion. The collaboration of Planetabici.com reinforces the community commitment of the competition, promoting inclusion and awareness about the importance of doing physical activity daily.
The Cursa Moritz Sant Antoni thus stands as an emblematic sporting event that goes beyond competition, integrating values ??of health, solidarity and active participation among the population of Barcelona.
