The world of caravanning has more and more options for everyone: from custom-made camper vans to kits to facilitate camping, to rental motorhomes for the less experienced. Likewise, we find an increasingly wide range of vehicles already prepared as standard for those who want to buy their own house on wheels ready to roll. The latter are now joined by the new Iveco Daily Camper van.

Although it hit the market in 2021, this camper van based on the well-known Iveco Daily van from the Italian brand (with more than 45 years of history and three million units sold), launches its third generation and comes loaded with improvements and novelties to become a benchmark in its segment.

With dimensions of 6.10 meters long, 2 meters wide and 2.63 meters high, as well as being an ideal van to house four occupants, the new Daily Camper presents a leading interior space of 12 m³ in its category. . From the hand of the Cordovan Eurogaza (a company specialized in preparing all kinds of special vehicles) this large cabin is divided into four very well differentiated sections: living room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom.

A distribution as smart as it is practical that includes everything you need to enjoy maximum comfort. Starting with the living-dining room, which is accessed from the outside through an automatically opening and closing step, we find two individual seats (with Isofix system for the little ones) and swivel front seats made of viscoelastic foam and with pneumatic suspension. These, in addition to facilitating the creation of a cozy space, offer great comfort on the go.

The living area is presided over by an extendable central table with a swivel foot, which can be folded to create a more open-plan area. Useful storage space has been added with the upper cabinets and a skylight in the ceiling that allows natural light in while creating a nice spacious feeling.

The redesigned kitchen of the new Daily Camper is equipped with two integrated burners, a sink, a hob, a 75-litre fridge (with a freezer drawer), four drawers and two cupboards for kitchenware. In addition, the floor covered in non-slip material and the furniture made of poplar wood and PVC are a guarantee of durability, and give the van a most welcoming atmosphere.

As for the bathroom, independent and designed to the millimeter, it is distributed in a foamed PVC cabin with an interior lining for more privacy. It has all the comforts: a toilet with a shower arm, three storage trays (one on the mirror), WC, sink, and a side window that provides light and ventilation.

In the back is the bedroom, with a double bed made up of a three-piece mattress, as well as a folding bed with a two-piece mattress, allowing up to four people to sleep. In addition, two shelves have been added to add storage space to the two side trunks: one houses the two 84-liter tanks (clean and gray water) and the external shower kit, while the other offers space to store luggage, ensuring optimal use of space.

Another outstanding novelty of the new arrival Iveco Daily Camper is that for the first time there is a variant with a pop-up roof made of fiberglass, which allows an extra rest area independent from the rest of the cabin in just seconds, thanks to its arms. hydraulics. This space has a bed that is 1.18 meters wide and 2.25 meters long, auxiliary heating and a skylight with a blind at its highest point. In addition, it has a USB port and LED lights around the perimeter.

Under the hood, the new Daily Camper houses a 2.3-liter Heavy Duty engine with 156 hp and 400 Nm of torque, associated with an eight-speed HI-MATIC automatic gearbox. This configuration promises superior performance and “a fuel saving of up to 6% compared to its predecessor”, according to Iveco.

Regarding the equipment, the complete standard equipment of the Iveco Daily Camper includes crosswind assistant, ESP 9 stability control, HBA emergency brake booster, hill start assistant, TSM system that adapts the stability control if we are carrying a trailer or the RMI function

It also includes the Iveco Driver Pal digital voice assistant, a 150 W flexible solar panel kit with a regulator and the well-known Canbus system with a touch screen, which allows you to control the interior lighting or check the levels of water tanks and batteries. . In addition, to fully enjoy life in the open air, a 3.75-meter awning is added, integrated into the body and with adjustable LED lights.

The new Iveco Daily Camper is now available and its price is 65,196 euros for the access version, while the pop-top version amounts to 70,696 euros (taxes not included). Thus, we can choose the configuration that best suits our preferences and budget.
