The average price of electricity in the wholesale market will fall by 1.23% this Tuesday, standing at 90.95 euros per megawatt hour (MWh) compared to 92.08 euros on Monday.
According to the latest data from the Iberian Electricity Market Operator (OMIE) collected by Servimedia, the gas cap is still not applied, as has happened since February 27, as its price fell below the limit set by the Iberian exception, which in April is 56.10 euros.
This Tuesday, the highest price will be registered between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., with 141.54 euros per MWh. Meanwhile, the price will be 20 euros per MWh between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
The 90.95 euros per MWh represent a drop of 262% compared to the 96.19 euros of Tuesday of last week and an increase of 133% over the 39.04 euros of a month ago, on March 25.
In addition, in a year-on-year comparison, a 60% reduction will be recorded, since on April 25 of last year the price was 226.57 euros per MWh.
