This Thursday, May 18, the term to sign up for Imserso trips for the current season ends, which will allow travel until the end of June, as the organization has recalled on its website. The deadline affects all applications regardless of the form of submission: through the Imserso electronic headquarters, those submitted through electronic records and those addressed by mail.
For the 2023-2024 season, the Imserso will notify the opening of the new application period with the postal communication that they send to the addresses of the people who have previously participated in the program or through an announcement on its website and electronic headquarters.
In general terms, to access the program you must be a retirement pensioner of the public system; have a widow’s pension with more than 55 years; be a pensioner for other concepts of the system or recipient of benefits or unemployment subsidies, with 60 years of age or more; or be insured or beneficiary of the Social Security System with 65 years of age or more. You can travel with your spouse or common-law partner even if you do not meet the requirements.
The program has three types of travel: in the area of ​​the peninsular coast, with stays of 8-10 days in Andalusia, Murcia, the Valencian Community and Catalonia; on the insular coast with the same ranch; and inland tourism with stays of 4 to 6 days and cultural and nature trips to provincial capitals and to Ceuta and Melilla.
There are several channels to sign up, although online is recommended.
The new contest includes a price increase of 7.5% and 70,000 new places, up to 886,269, with a 14% higher budget, some 300 million, among other novelties. In addition, the duration of the contract extends between September 1, 2023 and August 31, 2024.
Imserso is currently studying the economic offers of the four candidates for the three lots (mainland coast, islands and inland): Mundiplan, Soltour Travel Partners Turismo Social and the Joint Venture between Nautalia, Seniorplan and Autocares Vera.
