Formula 1 is the perfect showcase for many celebrities to parade around the grid. In each Grand Prix it is not unusual to find several celebrities from any field invited by a brand or even by the teams themselves to enjoy the races from the paddock.
Since the arrival of Liberty Media to the property of the Great Circus, weekends in the United States have increased throughout the seasons, and it is precisely in the races in this country where the largest number of well-known faces gather.
The Miami Grand Prix was no exception, and saw several internationally known faces parade through the Miami International Autodrome to enjoy the speed of the premier class of motorsport.
However, there were two people who didn’t enjoy it as much at one point. They are supermodel Kendall Jenner and singer Ed Sheeran. Both were able to take a lap of the circuit in a Mercedes AMG GT 63 R driven by Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, drivers of the Mercedes team.
The seven-time world champion was in charge of taking Jenner as co-pilot, and the model’s reactions were terrifying. “I’m terrified,” she said before getting into the car, and once inside the car the faces she made were scared. “We have the MET gala tomorrow!” she snapped at Hamilton, who took pity on her and didn’t turn around again.
In the case of Ed Sheeran, their faces said it all during the return. The tension reached such a point that when he got out of the car his hands were covered in sweat. Russell tried to reassure him by saying that with a single-seater they could reach higher speeds, but that did not calm the British musician. “When the braking came I thought ‘I’m safe now’” commented the singer when finishing.
