Why doesn’t this Bagà butterfly portrayed for La Vanguardia’s Readers’ Photos move? Well, the reason is because it is not alive, but rather metallic, although it seems to guard the path of the orchards of this town in Berguedà.
In one of the photographs we can see how Bagà is located in a privileged place, with the mountains as witnesses. Not in vain is it within the domains of the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park, close to ski slopes (la Molina, Masella) and with a natural environment rich in fauna and flora.
Bagà, benefited by the infrastructure of the Cadí tunnel, is very accessible. It is a meeting point, for example, for mushroom pickers, as it is one of the recommended areas for picking mushrooms.
Rural and mountain tourism is Bagà’s economic engine, where we find, for example, the Molí del Casó, where the sound of the river’s water accompanies a visit to Parque de los Olores (Scent Park).
In this place, as a medicinal and culinary garden, “the different species of plants form a mosaic that is respectful of the ecological cultivation techniques and the harmony of flavors of the dishes they season.”
