Where is the vulture going? It flies over a green landscape and in the middle of this landscape is the Eix Transversal, as we see in the image of the direction sign. It indicates to the right, Barcelona, ??and straight ahead, Girona.
The Eix Transversal is the popular name by which the C-25 highway is known, a fast communication route of about 154 km in length, which crosses Catalonia transversally from Cervera to Riudellots de la Selva.
In the second and third photos we see that the vulture is not heading to Barcelona or Girona, but is flying over the hermitage of Sant Sebastià.
Sant Sebastià is an emblematic hermitage located at 770 meters above sea level, which belongs to the municipality of Vic and the parish of Santa Eulàlia de Riuprimer. I captured these images for The Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia in Gurb, Osona region.
Vultures are birds of prey that usually feed especially on dead animals, although, in the absence of this food, they are capable of hunting live prey. They are distributed on all continents, except Antarctica and Oceania.
