The objects (us) talk (Los objetos (nos) hablan) is the temporary exhibition of the Museu de la Mediterrània in Torroella de Montgrí that we can see until February 5 and that we have visited in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia.
The main objective of the exhibition is to publicize the work carried out with the museum’s different reserve funds. In this case, through the objects of ancient and artisanal trades that are exhibited.
These objects are accompanied by the corresponding written information that can be read on the panels and which is a way of introducing us to the world of conservation, both preventive and curative.
They also invite us to delve into the restoration, documentation and dissemination carried out by ethnological museums, such as this one at the Museu de la Mediterrània.
Thanks to museums like this one, objects are preserved that explain daily life from other times and that many have been lost due to the changes that have occurred until they fall into total disuse.
Recovering them, conserving them and disseminating their existence allows us to understand and value the ways of life and culture of our ancestors. Among the objects on display, musical necklaces with bells and bakery shovels stand out for their beauty.
