At a time when political formations are beginning to display their advertising and marketing weapons to try to gain a foothold in the municipal elections, the Valents political formation has released its campaign song for the municipal elections in Barcelona on 28 May.

The song, as the party explains in a statement, is entitled ‘Barcelona Valiente’, it is in the Catalan rumba style in which the main points of his campaign for the Catalan capital are summarized in aspirational phrases, while referring to some historical landmarks, emblematic places of the city, as well as architectural or cultural references.

The song has a part of the lyrics in Spanish and another in Catalan and its objective, explains Valents, is “to generate enthusiasm in many Barcelona again with the Barcelona that we can become”.

With the release of the song, the video clip has also been published, which shows images of Barcelona, as well as members of Valents and the candidate for mayor of Barcelona herself, Eva Parera. The author of the song is Due Music and the producer Ivan Gould.

The chosen musical style, rumba, is the same as the one used by Ada Colau and her party, Barcelona En Comú, for the 2019 elections.
