Although there is no official record, as confirmed to La Vanguardia by the general director of Natural and Animal Environment of the Generalitat Valenciana, Raúl Mérida, the dogs and cats that perished in the fire last Wednesday could be close to a hundred. Animal organizations had figures that spoke of about 50 dogs and 40 cats.
