Two workers are in serious condition after a deflagration occurred in an underground electrical panel located on Chinchilla street in the capital, according to sources from Madrid Emergencies.
The youngest is 22 years old and the other operator is 26. They have been transferred to the La Paz Hospital and the Getafe Hospital, respectively. The first has third degree burns on 30% of his body and especially on his face, neck and forearm. And the second suffers second degree burns, on 15% of his body, highlighting the face and neck area.
The two injured have been assisted by the doctors of the Samur Civil Protection displaced to the place of the accident.
The event took place around four in the morning this Friday, the Madrid firefighters have reviewed the electrical installation and the Municipal Police have taken over the investigation.
