Police officers from the Investigation Unit of the Arenys de Mar (Maresme) police station arrested, on December 15, two people aged 65 and 38 as alleged perpetrators of a fraud crime, in a brothel in Tordera.
A man reported that in July he voluntarily went to a place where prostitution is practiced, in Tordera. Once inside, and after drinking a drink, he began to feel unwell and his decision-making capacity was altered.
The next day he realized that he had made transfers worth €38,669 to different bank accounts. He remembers that two local girls took his finger to unlock his mobile phone and even called his bank to change the code so they could operate online. At the same time, he underwent an analysis and discovered that his system had traces of cocaine, morphine and benzodiazepines, which he had been made to take inside the premises.
On December 15, agents of the Mossos d’Esquadra, together with agents of the Tordera Local Police, the National Police Corps and the Labor Inspection, carried out an administrative entry into the premises where they detained two people related to with the scam and 28 doses of cocaine were involved, like the ones they made the victim take. They also filed two administrative reports for possession of hashish and an extendable defense and two defense sprays.
In addition, three people who were in an irregular situation within the territory were identified and the expulsion procedure was initiated with the National Police Corps. After testifying at the police headquarters, the investigators released the two detained people with the commitment to appear before the court if required.
