The driver of a truck has been seriously injured after the collision of three trucks this Friday on the M-50 highway in Madrid, Emergencies Madrid has reported.
The accident took place around 1:00 p.m. at kilometer 29 of the highway, after three heavy vehicles collided and one of them overturned.
Trapped by his legs in the structure of the cabin, the driver of the overturned truck required the help of the Madrid City Council Firefighters to be rescued.
The Samur-Civil Protection paramedics have stabilized him and transferred him to the 12 de Octubre Hospital with advance notice and a serious prognosis.
The driver has serious orthopedic injuries, including several fractures and tissue loss in his left leg.
The drivers of the other two trucks have also been treated, who have suffered minor injuries. One of them has been transferred to the 12 de Octubre Hospital with bruises, while the other has been discharged at the scene.
The Civil Guard has opened an investigation to clarify the causes of the accident, which has caused significant traffic delays.
