In The Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia we can see in detail the fabulous bronze sculpture dedicated to Maternity in the town of Sant Vicenç de Castellet, in the Bages region.

This work, entitled Els Nadons (the babies), bears the signature of the artist Conxita Bori. It represents a seated mother with her son on her lap. At the base of the sculpture there is a small pool of water that flows from the spouts.

Next to this monument in homage to the omnipresence of the mother, a fountain was installed in a block of stone from Sant Vicenç.

In front of the image of the mother with her baby, on the left side, an inscription can be read: “The mother is the one who understands, she is the one who knows how to make you smile, when you are big and when you are a child, she knows how to make you smile.” live”.

The sculpture is part of the Arte, Piedra y Patrimonio route. This monument was promoted by the Artistic Association of Sant Vicenç de Castellet in 2002.

This urban itinerary through this Bages town serves to discover the “Sant Vicenç stone”, one of the most appreciated in the world.

The link between this sandstone and local heritage is the guiding thread of an urban route that runs through the main monuments and buildings of Sant Vicenç de Castellet.
