The National Court sent an order a few days ago to the City Council of Tortosa to communicate that it accepts that it appear as a private prosecution in the Efial corruption case that has been investigated by court number 4 of the high court.
Mayor Jordi Jordan assured this Monday that the indictment to be presented is being finalized, with the aim of compensating 1,050,130 euros for the alleged irregular hiring that the consulting firm under investigation carried out in the capital of Ebrense.
Jordan has regretted that the previous Junts government did not appear during the investigation, which would have allowed more details to be known and the number of those investigated to expand.
The mayor has also announced that former mayor Meritxell Roigé will be called as a witness.
