The alarms sound again in Liverpool. Six days before the Champions League final, Thiago Alcántara left the pitch injured just before half-time in his match, the last in the Premier League, against Aston Villa.
After the scares of Mo Salahy Van Dick, and Fabinho and Joe Gómez, injured, now it is the Hispanic-Spanish who gives the scare. Minute 49 passed, still in the first half, when Thiago felt a prick in his thigh and said enough. He quickly addressed the band with helpless gestures.
Jürguen Klopp went to the meeting with Thiago to see his discomfort. The player could hardly say a word and went directly to the locker room. Before leaving he had had time to assist Mané’s goal with a delicious pass from three quarters of the field.
The midfielder will have to undergo more tests, but six days before the Champions League final, he is at least a doubt for that match. If confirmed, it would be a very important loss for the network team.
