The Civil Guard has identified the driver of the van that allegedly fatally ran over two cyclists in Montserrat (Valencia) and fled, as investigation sources have confirmed to Europa Press.
The accident took place this Tuesday morning, around 8:45 a.m., on the CV-405, at kilometer 8 in the town of Montserrat.
The driver of a van allegedly ran over three cyclists, two of whom, aged 70 and 73, died, the first of them ‘in situ’ and the second in a hospital. The third was unharmed.
After the events, the Civil Guard opened an investigation and has managed to identify the driver of the van, whom they are still looking for, the same sources have indicated.
