There are now five women who have filed a complaint against the Barcelona metro attacker. Of these five, three have denounced the man for the attacks on February 9 on the platform of the Camp de l’Arpa stop, on line 5, which were the ones that opened the case after going viral on social networks.

The first reported the day after the events, but the other two did so later. Regarding the rest of the complaints, they are for similar attacks that occurred before and in other spaces. Specifically, the months of October and December in the Sants neighborhood. The victims have decided to report now because they have recognized the aggressor in the images that have been released.

The Mossos d’Esquadra continue working to identify even more victims. The investigation remains open for the crimes of injuries and degrading treatment. The aggressor is in provisional prison, notified and without bail.

The police arrested the attacker around midnight on the day of the subway episode, which occurred mid-morning, after having released him. After the attacks, the security service detained him and placed him at the disposal of the police, who, since they did not initially have any complaints and had incomplete information about the events, released him.

The detainee is a 35-year-old man with five previous convictions for crimes of theft and robbery with violence.
