The Consorcio del Turó de la Seu Vella will begin work in September to rehabilitate and consolidate the Baluarte del Rey. The mayor of Lleida, Fèlix Larrosa, explained this Friday that it is an area where “no action has ever been taken” and an investment of around 450,000 euros will be earmarked.

The works will have different points of action: the rehabilitation of the wall; the recovery of the upper elements of the wall; the arrangement of the surface and the restitution of a part of the wall that collapsed, where an architectural technique is to be applied to preserve the original appearance.

This is a system that has already been used to rebuild the section of the wall that fell in 2021 at the Louvigny Bastion, which will have a viewpoint.
