Like every year, the gray herons have arrived to settle on the banks of the Ter River. They are mating and building or rebuilding nests.

Lovers of photography and nature meet at the Les Masies de Voltregà viewpoint, Osona region, to practice photographic voyeurism, that is, capturing images of the scenes of the life of these birds without them noticing their presence. .

In La Vanguardia’s Readers’ Photos we can see some images of how they build their nest twig by twig, being observed without knowing that they are being observed.

And there is a viewpoint in Les Masies de Voltregà from which they are not disturbed while observing them in their natural habitat, since the nests are located on the other side of the river and in the municipality of Torelló.

Gray herons breed in colonies, usually in tall trees near water. In this area, specifically, they take advantage of the Ter River.

In these other scenes we can see the gray herons in the same area, although in Sant Hipòlit de Voltregà, also in Osona and also with the Ter river as a reference.
