A total of 27 Violence against Women Courts in Spain, out of 77 counted in 2022 (35%), have workloads that exceed their capacity, with Palma being the most saturated in the country with a percentage of 162.1%. Of occupation. It is followed by Vila-real, in Castellón, with 158.3% and Almería with 150.6% occupancy. Likewise, Málaga registered a figure of 150.3% occupancy, Alcalá de Henares 145.2%, Murcia 143% and Córdoba 130.4%.

In a written response registered in the Congress of Deputies, collected by Europa Press, the Government recognizes that a total of 7 Courts for Violence against Women presented saturation rates (workload) of more than 30% in 2022, of a total of 77 modules accounted for, of which 20 are also saturated up to 30% of their capacity.

Thus, the remaining 50 gender violence against women courts were not able to fill the module, according to the Ministry of Justice and the data referenced as of December 31, 2022. The most saturated courts were those of the Balearic Islands, Castellón, Almería , Malaga, Madrid, Murcia and Córdoba.

In the letter, the Government recalls that since the entry into force, on June 29, 2005, of Organic Law 1/2004, of December 28, a total of 121 exclusive Violence against Women Courts have been created and constituted. and there are 328 compatibles in the rest of the judicial districts. And, as indicated, in compliance with this legal mandate, the gradual implementation of the Violence against Women Courts continues along with compatibility.

The Government has thus responded to a question registered by the Sumar Group in the Lower House in which it questioned whether the unequal distribution of exclusive courts for violence against women entails an inequality in the comprehensive care of the victim.
