I share in The Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia this perspective of Montserrat from the top of Sant Jeroni, from where we can enjoy splendid views of the landscape.
Montserrat is a rocky massif traditionally considered the most important and significant mountain in Catalonia. With a maximum height of 1236 meters, formed by the peak of Sant Jeroni, this mountain rises abruptly to the west of the Llobregat river.
In the image you can see the characteristic material (conglomerate), the structure (column-shaped) and the erosion (due to the effect of water and ice) that mark the monoliths of Montserrat.
The Cavall Bernat is the largest and best known of the monoliths of the Montserrat massif. It shows a spectacular 245-meter-high conglomerate wall.
The region of the needles of Montserrat forms an authentic route that delights hiking lovers, who can discover reliefs baptized with names such as the Twins, the Scorpion, the Nun, the Finger or the Parrot. There are more than a hundred needles to discover in a mountain whose landscape leaves no one indifferent.
