The two-year-old boy, who was very seriously injured early this morning in a collision between several vehicles at kilometer 7 of the M-11, heading into Madrid, has died.
Emergencies Madrid has reported that the accident occurred when two cars suffered a small collision and, already stopped, a third vehicle hit one of them. A piece of a vehicle came off, which was shot and hit the child in the face, who was in the arms of his mother.
The assistance of Samur-Civil Protection treated the little one with severe facial trauma and after being intubated he was transferred to the La Paz Hospital in a very serious condition, where he finally died.
A psychologist from Samur-Civil Protection has treated the child’s relatives, while Madrid City Council Firefighters removed the batteries from the vehicles and secured the area.
The Civil Guard is investigating the accident and the Madrid Police has collaborated by regulating traffic in the area.
