The Superior Court of Justice of the Community of Madrid (TSJM) endorses the thesis of the Community of Madrid to dismiss the head of the pediatric ICU service at the La Paz children’s hospital, Pedro de la Oliva.
With this ruling, the Community of Madrid, led by Isabel Díaz Ayuso, will take all possible actions this Friday to get said unit back to work as soon as possible, according to sources from the regional government.
This unit has been closed for more than 15 days, as only the head of the service and another part-time doctor are operational, while the 14 intensive care doctors of said service are either on leave or have resigned from their position. The nurses, assistants, guards and administrators have been distributed among other services in La Paz.
The Lawyers of the Community of Madrid are going to present a document today to request that the judge lift the precautionary measure on the readmission of the head of the pediatric ICU service so that this space can recover its operation.
The president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, celebrated on her social networks that the pediatric ICU of the La Paz Hospital “will be able to recover its activity as soon as possible.” “Justice supports the decision of the Community of Madrid to dismiss the head of the service,” highlighted the regional president.
