The Ter river flows down with a lot of water on its way to the Sau reservoir, which continues to increase in flow after the long episode of drought, in which it reached 1%.

At this time it is already close to 25% of its capacity, more than double what it was a year ago at this time. The last rains of May and, also, the thaw, are being felt in this reservoir, a symbol of drought. And the bearer of this good news is the Ter river.

In this series of photographs in La Vanguardia’s Readers’ Photos, we can see how the Ter River comes down swollen and at high speed, as it passes through Torelló.

Precisely, in this town the Vora Ter path begins, which extends for 20 kilometers accompanying the river through small towns to the town of Manlleu. The Vora Ter emerged in 2002 with the aim of bordering the course of the Ter River from its source in the eastern Pyrenees to its mouth in the Mediterranean.

The Ter river rises in Ulldeter at 2480 meters of altitude, at the foot of a glacial cirque in the Pyrenean region of Ripollès, very close to the town of Setcases.
