In love with the sunrises in Caldes d’Estrac, to the point of showing it graphically with this heart drawn in the sand on the beach, as can be seen in this snapshot in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia.
Watching the sunrise on the shores of the Mediterranean is one of the great pleasures in this coastal town that lives facing the sea, especially as the hottest months approach.
In the image we can admire the morning glare, a meteorological phenomenon in which the clouds in the sky show a wide palette of colors that goes from pink to the most intense orange.
As part of the phenomenon of scattering of sunlight, in the morning hours, when the sun is closest to the horizon, the light that reaches Earth is soft tones between red and orange. In a certain way, when this light passes through the clouds, it illuminates them and could be said to color them.
The origins of Caldetes or Caldes d’Estrac, in El Maresme, date back to the 13th century, when it was built around an old hospital and a church.
The location of a thermal water source gave the name to the municipality. From 1870 to 1920, Caldetes lived its first golden age, being a summer resort for the Catalan bourgeoisie.
