The Smoking Souls group has denounced on their social networks that the PP and Vox, parties that govern the Elx City Council in coalition, have canceled the concert that the Pego band planned to perform on August 9 in the town of Elche as part of the event called Palmeral Fest. “PP VOX have just canceled our concert at Elx. Quina tristesa i quina rabia”, they tweeted.

However, the Elx City Council has “categorically denied that any concert by any music group has been cancelled. There is no Palmeral Fest festival scheduled,” it has indicated in the official account of the consistory.

In the same statement released on social networks, the council chaired by the popular Pablo Ruz invites “the Smoking Souls group to make public the contract with the Elx City Council. In addition, understanding that the complaint can “harm the image of this local entity, it is stated that in the event that its dissemination is maintained, legal action may be taken against the author, and those who contribute to its redistribution.”
