Fantastic outing with the hiking group between the regions of Ripollès and Garrotxa, an itinerary that we reviewed in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia.
The starting point is at the Coll de Santigosa, the road that connects Sant Joan de les Abadesses with Olot and that also forms the border between the two counties.
We leave the cars at the col and from this point we can see some views of Berguedà, such as the popular Pedraforca massif.
The first objective is Santa Llúcia de Puigmal. Later, the most seasoned descended to a nearby Gorg of great beauty, luxury.
Santa Llúcia de Puigmal is a Romanesque church of Sant Joan de les Abadesses (Ripollès) included in the Inventory of the Architectural Heritage of Catalonia. The first news about this temple is from 913.
The lap was tougher than imagined and several of us suffered problems of exhaustion, fainting or extreme fatigue. A relentless climb and a scorching sun contributed to this.
But it all ended happily – thanks to the broom car! – and all the expedition members, already recovered, enjoyed a good meal.
