The RFEF apologized this Wednesday in a statement for having introduced “more noise and pressure to the international players” due to the way in which they were called up without having closed the crisis after which they demand structural changes in the organization.

The RFEF statement is presented as a “declaration of principles in the face of a new stage” and details three points on which it will be articulated: “governance, transparency and equality.” At the same time, the Federation announces that it has informed both the players and the Government of its decision to “accelerate the planned changes.”

The announcement comes after last morning 21 of the 23 selected teams decided to remain in the team’s concentration in Oliva and the internationals Mapi León and Patri Guijarro left it this morning. Both have assured that they are not in the best mental condition to face the Nations League commitments, which Spain will play this Friday in Sweden and on Tuesday against Switzerland in Córdoba.
