A 19-year-old named Ventura del Castillo Perez was captured on security cameras slamming his mother’s doctor, Dr. Steven Silvers, to the ground. The reason for this attack was Ventura’s belief that the doctor had given his mother opioids after a procedure in June.
During a pretrial detention hearing on Wednesday, video footage of the incident was shown, leaving everyone in the courtroom stunned. Ventura’s mother, Carolina Perez, tearfully defended her son, stating that he was unaware of her traumatic history with drugs.
