In 2019, according to data from the World Travel business association
After two years in which companies in the sector have suffered particularly cruelly from the consequences of the coronavirus and restrictions on mobility, 2022 marks the recovery of tourism.
To analyze the progress of the sector in the first summer of the new normality, ‘La Vanguardia’ calls a meeting on July 20 at the Club Monteverdi (Calle Almagro, 36 in Madrid). The session will begin at 09:30 a.m. with the conference ‘The recovery of tourism’ by Fernando Gallardo, analyst-expert in tourism. Gallardo will review the reactivation of the sector and also the new trends that have been observed for a long time and that the pandemic has helped to accelerate.
After Gallardo’s intervention, a colloquium will begin that will be moderated by Enric Freire, a journalist at ‘La Vanguardia’, and in which they will participate, in addition to the speaker; Luis Martín Izquierdo, general director of Tourism of the Community of Madrid; Juan Miguel Morales, general director of Red Vacacional Ávoris Corporación Empresarial, and Mario Otero Andión, director of the Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport.
People interested in attending as a public should send an email with their personal data (name, company and DNI) to Encuentroslv@lavanguardia.es. Attendance is free and the capacity of the room is limited. You must be registered to access this event. The meeting will conclude with a Networking Café that will end around 11:15 am.
