Christoph Schneider, Rammstein’s drummer, has been the first member of the German band to publicly show his support for the girls who have denounced sexual abuse by singer Till Lindemann.

Schneider has posted a statement on his Instagram account in which he admits to being in a state of “shock” at what happened. She says that “apparently things have happened that, while legal, are not right for me.” And he wants to make it clear that Lindemann’s parties should not be confused “with our official after-show parties.”

In this sense, he explains that “Till has distanced himself from us in recent years and has created his own bubble. With his own people, his own parties, his own projects.” He claims that all he heard of the singer’s parties were “adults celebrating together.”

In his words, Lindemann has confessed to them that “he always wanted and still wants to give his private guests a good time.” But she notes that there have been cases where some women “felt uncomfortable, on the brink of a situation that they could no longer control. I feel sorry for them and I feel compassion.”

Schneider emphasizes that “every guest in the backstage area is free to leave (they may have to wait a moment for security to safely guide them to the exit).” And he adds that “all the bottles are sealed and in full view of the newly opened guests or they open them themselves.” With this he refers to the information that speaks of the use of drugs in the drinks so that they had sexual relations with the vocalist.

Schneider ends the letter by stating that they want “all our guests to feel comfortable and safe with us”, for which he regrets that some girls “did not feel that way”.
