This final weekend of April the heavy rains have finally arrived. The Sierra de Queralt has been covered by huge black clouds that have unloaded heavy rains, as can be seen in the Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia.
We will see if they continue in May and are enough to start to alleviate the persistent drought a bit and raise the very low levels of the reservoirs a bit.
The Baells is at its lowest levels since there are records, it is very urgent that the rains are intense and continuous to get out of the alarm levels.
Civil Protection maintains the pre-alert activated due to the forecast of new rains in the second part of this Sunday and has warned that the intense rainfall in the Berguedà region may affect the fluvial course of the Llobregat river with the increase in flow in some points of the head municipalities.
This great drought that has been dragging on for many months has been getting worse and is already seriously affecting agriculture. It has been necessary to establish restrictions, and soon they could affect homes, even the so-called drinking water.
In some parts of Spain, water is already supplied to residents by tank trucks.
Let’s cross our fingers, and that everyone does what they humanly can to save water, but also to make it rain more. They can put candles to their favorite saints, dance rain dances, or whatever it takes. Anything will be better than doing nothing and sitting there looking at the sky.
