Another step in the long road that involves the works to bury the train tracks in Sant Feliu de Llobregat. As reported by Adif in a statement, the provisional station that will replace the current historic one until the end of the work will come into operation this Sunday at 3:00 p.m.

The halt has two independent buildings with a metallic structure. The platforms are protected with metal canopies and have a public address system, signage, lighting and security cameras. Both buildings have a ticket vending machine and one of the two has a ticket office.

Access to the provisional station will be from the street and will allow, he tells Adif, that people with reduced mobility can use the service. The pavement is tactile and has a safety strip, which makes it easier for blind people to use. The passage between platforms will be carried through a pedestrian walkway equipped with elevators.

Although with some affectations, during the long process of burying the movement of trains will not be interrupted. The investment in the capital of the Baix Llobregat region, which gives rise to a great urban transformation, exceeds 120 million euros, specifies Adif.

The long-awaited works, which have been demanded for decades in Sant Feliu de Llobregat, started in June 2021 with an execution period of more than three and a half years.
