An accident on the AP-7, near Sant Cugat del Vallés, has caused kilometer-long queues and the closure of several lanes.
The accident occurred around 9:30 in the morning at kilometer point 159 towards Barcelona where a boat obstructed the left lane of the road after overturning while being transported.
The Servei Català de Trànsit has notified the closure of all lanes, except for one, southbound, and stoppages of 3km, which have increased as the minutes progressed.
Once the emergency services have been able to remove the maritime transport, Trànsit has opened a second lane, but the stoppages have reached the 8km between Cerdanyola and Sant Cugat del Vallès in a southerly direction.
The incident, which caused a maximum of eight kilometers of traffic jams, was completely normalized after 12 hours.
