The PP joins the municipal government of Montcada i Reixac (Vallès Occidental) of the PSC and Vivimir. The executive, led by the socialist Bartolo Egea, incorporates the two councilors of the PP, David Zambrana, who will be the third deputy mayor and will assume the presidency of the Services Area, being a councilor for the Local Police and Economic Promotion, and for Industry , as well as councilor Laia López, who will not assume any portfolio.

The understanding involves turning around the local executive with respect to the previous mandate, when En Comú Podem had the mayor’s office, with Laura Campos as mayor, thanks to a government agreement with ERC.

Egea justifies the entry of the PP into the government to focus political action on social welfare and the economic promotion of the municipality.

The PP, which obtained two councilors in the elections of May 28, thus joins the 7 councilors of the PSC and the two of Vivimir (VIVIM Montcada and Reixac).

The three formations have an absolute majority, with 11 councilors out of 21, while En Comú Podem, ERC and Vox remain in the opposition, with 10 in total.

“We have reached an agreement of stability and transversality that highlights the will of the three forces to form an executive focused on political action for social welfare,” said the mayor, Bartolo Egea.

The intention is to “defend the most unprotected, with municipal awareness and determination and in the economic promotion of the municipality,” said the mayor.

David Zambrana will replace Albert Carandell as third deputy mayor and will preside over the Services Area, replacing Dori Alcalà.
