There will be a face to face between Alberto Núñez Feijóo and Pedro Sánchez. This was guaranteed this Thursday by the PP campaign spokesman, Borja Sémper, that despite the initial approach of the PP, which is maintaining in the negotiations with the PSOE, that the PSOE and Sumar agree on who wants to debate with Feijóo, or go to one to three, he admitted that face to face there will be.
The PP has summoned the PSOE today to a meeting on Monday to negotiate the conditions of the electoral debates. In that meeting, the PP will insist on a face-to-face with whom the two parties that “say they are going to continue in a coalition” designate, and if not, that there be a three-way debate, and the PP will be hard pressed, but at end there will be a face to face.
In the other debate, which at first has been raised as a four-way debate with the two big ones plus Vox and Sumar, the PP is in favor of ERC, Bildu and Junts joining, who have also maintained agreements with the Socialists.
Borja Sémper went to the Puerta de Hierro Sports Park, belonging to the Community of Madrid, where he settled on a sand court on the beach and provided umbrellas, and the PP spokesman appeared before the media with the motto “Blue summer ” and the music from the mythical television series, to ask citizens to go on vacation, but not to forget about voting, because if they forget “when they return from vacation, the problems will remain the same, Sánchez will continue as president.” If they vote, on the contrary, there will be “a blue summer, which will be a summer of illusion and hope”, because “the blue summer means change”.
But before getting to that, there is a lot left to do, and the first thing is to deal with the pacts that the PP is signing or not with Vox, and the different ways in which it acts, whether in Extremadura or in Valencia. What Sémper did want to make clear is that “with or without pacts with Vox there will not be a step back in rights”, so that wherever the PP governs, the fight against gender violence will continue the same or with more intensity than before .
The PP spokesman assured that he was unaware that there was a town in Valencia, Náquera, where after the pact between PP and Vox, concentrations after the sexist murders specifically against gender violence were prohibited and in which the banners were forced to only carry the slogan “against violence”.
Sémper defended, in line with what Alberto Núñez Feijóo has been doing for several days, the pacts that the PP is reaching with Vox, such as the one in Valencia, but also the position of María Guardiola, arguing not only about low representation The PP president blamed her for the demand that she not enter the Government, but that the popular candidate always said, throughout the campaign, that she would not agree with Vox on a coalition government and that she would govern alone.
Sémper also blamed the national leadership of Vox, and specifically Jorge Buxadé, for not having been able to reach an agreement, and although the PP does not want to repeat elections, what it is not going to do, said the PP spokesman, is “renounce our principles.” And among those principles, that it does not happen as with the Sánchez governments, that the minorities prevail over the majorities. “A basic principle of the PP is not to submit a government to minorities”, as Sánchez has done, with “continuous assignments to ERC and Bildu, as seen with sedition, the reduction of penalties for embezzlement, or the housing law” .
The PP considers that it is possible to agree with the minorities, “but not that the minorities impose themselves on the majorities”, because they do not agree to “distribute seats or power”, but rather policies.
