The Tortosa police are investigating whether the last fires that have occurred in the municipality have been caused, according to the mayor of the municipality, Meritxell Roigé.
The first fire took place at dawn from Saturday the 15th to Sunday the 16th of April and then there was another one that same day and three more on Monday the 17th.
In one of the fires last Monday, it has been necessary to evacuate four buildings, whose inhabitants have already been able to return to their homes. That same fire has caused damage to a car, a pergola and a vegetal wall separating houses.
Roigé has asked citizens for “maximum collaboration” with the police to resolve the cause of these fires.
