The construction of deposit of water of Sant Andreu de la Barca , which will have a capacity of 5,000 cubic meters and involves an investment of 3 billion euros , have started this Monday, as reported by the Consistory.

In a statement, the mayor of the municipality, Enric Llorca, has explained that with this project, funded by Aigües Ter Llobregat (ATLL) and that will be ready at the end of the year , it will respond to the current needs of the population.

The new deposit will be added to the works currently, which has a capacity for 2,000 cubic metres of water and that was built when the town had little more than 10,000 inhabitants, while it now exceeds the 28.000 .

The two deposits will be connected and will serve to supply water to the population in case of need.
